Hello, thanks for stopping by!
 

My name is Tanja and I have been teaching yoga since 2010 (all levels, all ages, and with great enthusiasm for the cause). I  found my path to yoga in 2002 when a planned surfing vacation unexpectedly turned into a lifechanging journey. And there, in the depths of  the Balinese jungle I came to find my first Master (in every word of the sense). Many teachers, trainings, and journeys were to follow but he was clearly the one getting me on the right track. And still today, when I close my eyes, I can hear the gong and the soft sound of his voice telling me everything is alright and it makes me smile. That's the feeling I want to release my sadhakas (students) from my classes with.

Let me tell you, in the beginning I honestly couldn't make much of yoga. Coming from a  track and field background I had no idea about what yoga could possibly do for me...I mean, really, what could a little sitting and standing in silence possibly do for me? Well, everything. Within a couple of weeks it changed my posture, it changed my mindset, it changed my spirit, but most of all it changed the way of treating myself. 

 

That's what yoga is about. It teaches you to be good to yourself and to rid yourself of things that prevent you from being happy. If you treat yourself well, good things are naturally drawn to you, and most of all: you stay healthy. I have not had a doctor's visit in 10 years, the birth of my child was a quick 1.5 hours long, and it only took a few weeks to re-gain my pre-pregnancy body. There really isn't anything compareable out there to keep you strong, balanced, and healthy at the same time. And, as a side effect you get the body of a dancer and the strength of a lion. What are you waiting for? ;-)
